SpiderMan Cosplay – Cosplay from the Spider-Verse

Inspired by the coming release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, SpiderMan cosplay is alive and well with many new costumes and mash-ups appearing at cons near and far. Personally, we’re looking forward to some Peter Porker Spider-Ham Cosplay. Here’s a daily updated round-up from Instagram – enjoy!

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is an upcoming computer-animated superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man. It is set in an alternate universe from other Spider-Man properties, but introduces a shared multiverse. The film stars Shameik Moore as Morales alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Lily Tomlin. In the film, Morales becomes one of many Spider-Men.

Plans for an animated Spider-Man film were first revealed in 2014, and officially announced in April 2015. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is scheduled for release on December 14, 2018.

The most curious thing about the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the potential to weave every single previous Spider-Man films into one, loosely-connected multiverse with Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Peter Parker at the center. In the latest trailer for the animated feature, Peter takes a minute to explain to you just how popular his, well, no, Spider-Man’s brand is.

Once the web-headed hero’s done humblebragging, he makes a point of reminding you that this movie isn’t really about him, it’s definitely Miles’ movie. Well Miles’ movie. And Peni Parker’s. And Spider-Ham’s. And Spider-Man Noir’s. Etc.

Together, the cadre of Spider-Heroes team up to save the very fabric of the multiverse in what’s probably the biggest adventure of their lives, but not before taking on a handful of classic villains like the Kingpin, Green Goblin, and Scorpion.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into theaters December 14.
